Stephen Conlan
Stephen is a practising solicitor. Stephen has substantial experience of advising on, and conducting, workplace investigations. He recently completed an investigation into the conduct of a senior executive, working to a very short timescale, carrying out a number of interviews with the senior executive and colleagues, analysing the data which was collected as part of the investigation and preparing a report of his findings for presentation to the executive board. For other clients he has reviewed draft investigation reports, ensuring that sufficient evidence has been obtained and that the findings are robust and backed up by that evidence. Stephen appreciates the importance of making findings based on sound evidence even where those findings do not always match the expectations and preconceptions of the commissioner of the workplace investigation.
In addition to experience in the private sector Stephen has a great deal of experience of advising NHS organisations on both Maintaining High Professional Standards in the Modern NHS (MHPS) investigations and others.
