Nathan Millard

Nathan is a practising solicitor.  Over 25 years Nathan has gained substantial experience of investigations across a range of legal disciplines including investigations into fraud and other alleged criminal conduct, health and safety matters including fatal accidents, and other regulatory matters.  He regularly oversees and contributes to complex workplace investigations involving sensitive allegations of bullying and discrimination often with protracted and difficult chronologies characterised by multiple cross complaints and subtle and difficult to resolve issues including sub conscious bias.  He regularly drafts terms of reference for investigations and wider workplace enquiries and meets with witnesses and takes statements.  Aside from this Nathan has substantial experience of whistleblowing investigations. 

 

Within the NHS Nathan has considerable experience of investigations conducted under Maintaining High Professional Standards in the Modern NHS (MHPS) into both the conduct and capability of medical practitioners.  He has also delivered training to NHS investigators on MHPS. 

 

Nathan has also acted as appeal panel chair in relation to disciplinary allegations of discrimination involving making findings on multiple complaints and has given evidence in the Employment Tribunal.
